From Sunday 5 to Sunday 12 November, Worcestershire Young Carers Senior Keyworker, Neil Phillips, attended a training event in Madrid, Spain. The 25 participants involved were from the UK, Spain, Italy, Estonia, Romania, Hungary, Morocco and Portugal.

The event was organised by Pandora, an organisation that arranges international youth exchanges and cultural learning programmes. The training was delivered by Punto Jes and the sessions looked at developing Social Entrepreneurship in young people, looking at ways that young people can set up their own business and projects in ways that make a social difference.

In addition, the group had several visits to the wonderful Impact Hub in central Madrid which is a working space for many organisations and a brilliant example of innovative and creative ways of working and sharing ideas. Find out more about the trip by watching this short video:

Neil will be meeting with members of the organisations in the coming months to look at how the learnings can be used at YSS along with any future partnership work. To find out more about Worcestershire Young Carers, please click here.
