Please donate to our Distress Fund and help to provide practical and emotional support to our service users. Just £35 could provide overnight support to someone living on the street, or it could pay for a counselling session for someone experiencing stress, anxiety or depression. £50 could provide an emergency food and clothing package to a family in crisis, or pay for a targeted one-to-one support session with an experienced keyworker, to enable someone to work through problems and stay hopeful for the future.

Coronavirus update from Catherine, our Chief Executive:

Our Distress Fund is providing a lifeline to many people who are struggling to make ends meet at this difficult time. We are helping young people, families with young children, and individuals who need extra support, providing them with essential items such as food, toiletries, household items or mobile data which means they can stay in touch with loved ones. By supporting our fund, you are ensuring that we can respond quickly to requests for help from vulnerable people throughout West Mercia. Please consider donating - your help would be very much appreciated.

We are very grateful to the following organisations, for their support:

Spotlight: Mike and his daughter, Emily

Teenage girls have a message for their dads and it should signal a ...

Mike is a single parent. He is having to self-isolate due to extremely complex health issues and is very high risk. Consequently, his 14 year old daughter Emily, had to move out to live with her older sister and her children. Emily is currently sharing a room with her nieces, and was sleeping on the floor with no mattress. We provided Emily with enough money to buy a single airbed and bedding. This is not only helping Emily get a good night's sleep, but is helping improve Mike's emotional wellbeing by knowing that his daughter is being properly cared for.
