Children, Young People & Families We give children and young people the practical and emotional support they need to help them thrive and to achieve their potential. Many of those we work with have multiple and complex needs; we ensure that their voices are heard and their needs are met. We tailor our support to make sure that the child or young person and their family get the right support at the right place at the right time. We build a close working relationship with the child or young person and their immediate family, and also work with other professionals they may be in contact with, such as teachers or social workers. This joined up working ensures that there is a comprehensive understanding of the family as a whole, people feel listened to and we can all work together to support them to achieve positive changes in their lives. At YSS we are persistent, we do not give up and we will always go the extra mile to achieve the best possible outcomes for those we are working with. Safeguarding: YSS is committed to ensuring that children, young people and adults at risk who come into contact with YSS staff and volunteers are treated with respect, and are free from all forms of abuse or mistreatment. We have comprehensive safeguarding policies which are reviewed annually. The designated member of staff responsible for safeguarding is David Andrewartha, Operations Director, [email protected]. The most recent Safeguarding policy is available to read and download, here. Click the links below to find out more about our work with children, young people and families.
