Families First Survey on Familial Imprisonment

The Families First service is launching a survey for professionals who are either currently working with or aware of a family affected by familial imprisonment. The purpose of this survey is to identify the need for a service like Families First across Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford& Wrekin.

YSS is pleased to announce that the charity achieved a Quality standard and re-accreditation by Matrix for the high quality of delivery of information, advice and guidance it provides.
Resignation of our Chair of Trustees

David Chantler OBE our chair of Trustees announced his resignation. After a long time at YSS, David had to step down as Chair because he was diagnosed with bowel cancer. His support and continuous support for YSS is greatly appreciated and so is the message that diagnosis is the best tool for prevention. At YSS we all wish him well.

Launched by YSS at the end of 2020, Families First supports children and families from the point of arrest through to prison release, helping to reduce the emotional turmoil and anguish experienced by so many children and families across the county.
