Wednesday 9 September is Emergency Services Day - otherwise known as 999 Day - when we pay tribute to all those who work in the emergency services, and who help us all in so many ways.

YSS works closely with the emergency services, in particular through its #MORSE safer roads initiative, which is a partnership between YSS, West Mercia Police, Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue, Shropshire Fire & Rescue and WWM CRC and is funded by West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner, Jon Campion. #MORSE uses a joined up approach, using each partner organisation's area of expertise, to tackle dangerous driving on our roads.

David Andrewartha, #MORSE lead and YSS Operations Director, said "Our emergency services play a huge role in keeping us all safe, both on the roads, and in our everyday lives, and we want to say a huge 'thank you' to all our police men and women, fire service and ambulance colleagues for all that they do today and throughout the year."
